Go Broncos!

Wait...what season is this? E and A are showing their solidarity, even in the off-season.

We still love you, Broncos!

7 Months

Miss A is now 7 months old. Sigh!...she's growing so fast. So big...so cute...so fun...but still not mobile! I love this age. I thought I'd shower you with pictures to celebrate her 7 month milestone.

If you look closely, you can see her new little tooth in there.

Where she spends most of her time when she's not on my hip. Yay for exersaucers!

Sweet girl!

My Big Backyard

Aunt Lisa and Uncle Zach gave TW a subscription to "My Big Backyard" for Christmas. He loves it. This month's issue talks about butterflies and had instructions for this fun food creation made out of bread, celery, craisins and colored cream cheese. Yum, yum!

Bowl-a-rama

I realize it's feast or famine with my posting, but I hope you're enjoying the feast...:)

Last night, after E returned from the airport, we went bowling with Janis and her family and a few other friends (for those of you who live nearby, Woodlands World has been turned into a bowling alley and arcade--very nice! Plus the shoes are new!). We were all cranky by the end of the evening (why does having fun have to be so much work?), but I think everyone had a good time. Between E and I, we took a lot of pictures, so brace yourselves!

The weapons:

The Hittle bowlers:

E, jealous of my high score, decided to blind me with the flash on this frame...but, Ha!, I still beat him by 30 points...foiled again, Mr. Hittle!

Just a little farther.....nice one, TW!

Besides the bowling alley and arcade, there was also a climbing wall. TW declined to use his turn at the last scary second, so TJ got to climb twice and did great. He made it all the way to the top on his second attempt and was very proud of himself--we were impressed, too!

Spiderman: Is he a spider or is he a man? Nobody knows--Spiderman!

Woohoo, TJ! The top!

The happy look of success.

Tired girl! Miss A managed to stay awake all evening, but she was a sweet girl, even though she was tired.

Signs of Spring

The weather is still a little iffy, but we definitely have signs of Spring...

The crocuses are blooming...

The lilacs are budding...

And we have a new crop of "bug boots!"

Grandma!

E's mom has been visiting us for the past week and a half and had to fly home today. We threatened to just keep her, but I don't think Earl would have liked that very much. I had planned to get lots of house projects done, but everyone got colds, so naps moved up the list above cleaning the attic and the pantry. Oh well! The boys thoroughly enjoyed her love and attention and tested her skills at just about every game we have. I enjoyed her company and of course, the help. A got lots of cuddling in and E had help with the crossword and enjoyed a good visit with his mom. E and I also got to go away for a night with only baby A in tow...bonus!....fun! Thank you, Linda! We love you, Grandma!

St. Patrick's Day girls in green. Baby A loves Grandma!

A's first teething biscuit experience. Get those teeth through!! (Her gums are splitting now for her first two bottom teeth, and I can feel one, but they're not quite visible yet...)

A "lap full of kids!"

Big Preschool Boy

Today was J's first day of nursery school. Last fall, when he cried because he couldn't stay with TW (and TW cried because he had to stay), the deal was that he could go once he learned how to use the potty. That happened over Christmas, but nursery school had a long winter break so today was his first day. Both he and TW were very excited this morning. Taking the 3rd is a much different emotional experience than taking the 1st, for everyone involved. There was no crying or clinging to my leg or me waiting anxiously by the phone to see if I had to pick him up early and wondering if he was doing ok--just a kiss and a hug and an "OK, see you later" while he kept on playing with the cool nursery school kitchen set. Sigh.....(that was a sigh of relief!) TW liked playing the elder, experienced brother role and TJ gave him sage advice before he left for school this morning: "J, don't be scared at preschool and whatever you do, DON'T CRY!" No worries. He's my social bug. Okay, now I'm getting slightly emotional talking about it, but I am looking forward to 2 1/2 quiet hours a week with just us girls. When I asked him what he did today at school, he happily said, "All sorts of stuff!" Good job, big (little) boy!

Bathrooms

I re-painted the bathrooms Saturday. It was exhausting, but I got it done in time to show the house Sunday morning. My last color scheme was based on Bear's house from "Bear in the Big Blue House," so it was time for a change. This scheme was based on the colors in my new shower curtain. Very fun! (E wonders why I even went to Pottery Barn if I didn't expect to buy something...) The boys think the paint looks like mustard and ketchup---not a very flattering description--but I think I like it. At least I'm getting used to it. It is fun to have a change! I want to get red and blue towels to go with it and need to put some decorations up. Tell me what you think.

Notice the cool new curvy shower rod E put up for us.

6 Months, Baby!

Oh, yeah, I'm 6 months!
